AI phone agent for car dealerships and garages

At a dealership or garage the phone rings all day, usually when everyone is busy. Tibinet's AI phone agent answers, helps the caller and transfers the call when needed. Integrations with your dealer or garage software are in development.

Phone calls in the motor trade

Customers call a garage or dealership for all sorts of reasons. One wants to book a service, another asks whether their car is ready, a third wants to arrange a test drive. Meanwhile reception is busy at the desk, the workshop is working on cars and the salesperson is with a customer. The result: calls go unanswered, and customers call back or call someone else.

Many of these calls are much the same. They are about a booking, a status update or being put through to the right person. Those are exactly the calls an AI phone agent handles well, so your team can focus on the customer in front of them.

Why an AI phone agent

  • Fewer missed calls. The agent answers when your team is busy, including the rush around opening and closing time.
  • Available out of hours. In the evening and at weekends the agent records questions and requests, so you know the next morning who called and why.
  • Workshop bookings. The agent asks for the registration number, the type of work and the preferred day, and suggests a time.
  • Test drives and showroom visits. Interested buyers are helped the moment they call.
  • Call transfers. Callers who want sales, the workshop or a specific colleague are put through to a number you set in advance.
  • A short summary. After every call your team knows what the caller wanted.

Integrating with your dealer and garage software

An AI agent becomes truly useful once it can work with your own systems. That is why we are building an integration module for each supplier. The aim is for the agent to look up a customer and vehicle by registration number, put a booking straight into your workshop planner and add a note to the customer record. These integrations are still in development, and we are seeking to work with the suppliers on them.

  1. Recognise the customer

The agent looks up the caller in your system by phone number or registration number.

  2. Book the appointment

The agent checks available capacity in the workshop planner and makes the booking.

  3. Record the call

A summary of the call is added as a note to the customer record.

Suppliers we are preparing integrations for

Below are the software packages we are preparing an integration for, grouped into three categories.

Dealer management 27

  • Dealer management and garage software (DMS). The heart of the business: customers, vehicles, job cards and invoices.
  • Workshop planning and online booking. Systems that hold workshop capacity and customer appointments.
  • CRM and leads. Software for tracking sales leads, test drives and follow-up.

Is your software not listed? Let us know. The packages dealers and garages use help us decide which integration to build next.
