Connect an AI phone agent to Swyx
If you use Swyx, the Tibinet AI phone agent joins your system through a SIP trunk group. Your PBX calls the agent on a short number. When a person is needed, the agent transfers the call to your own Swyx users or groups.

Swyx at a glance
Swyx is a software PBX from Germany. The company has been part of Enreach since 2018 and has traded as Enreach since October 2021; Swyx remains the product name. For how the connection works in general, see connecting an AI phone agent to your phone system.
How the connection works
- A SIP trunk group containing a SIP trunk to Tibinet, using registration or an IP-based connection.
- A rule in Call Routing Manager or the trunk routing sends the agent numbers to that trunk.
- The agent transfers back only to numbers on your PBX that you agree with us in advance.
What your IT team does
Create the trunk group and trunk
A SIP trunk group with a generic profile, containing a trunk with the details we send you.
Codec and DTMF
Enable G.711 A-law and set DTMF to RFC 4733.
Route to the agent
A routing rule for the agent numbers (85XX and 88XXXXX).
Route back
An inbound route for the transfer numbers, so they arrive as internal calls.
Firewall and SBC
Open the firewall and any SBC for SIP and RTP to and from our address.
All ports, codecs and settings are listed on the technical details page.
Transferring calls
- Cold transfer: by default through a second call to your PBX. This always works.
- REFER: optional. Swyx must allow blind transfer via REFER on this trunk. If it fails, the platform falls back to the second call.
- Warm transfer: your colleague first hears a short summary and presses 1 to take the call or 2 to decline. If nobody answers, the caller stays with the agent.
- The summary is also sent as a SIP header. Whether a handset or client displays it depends on your configuration; we do not promise it.

Frequently asked questions
