Connect an AI phone agent to Auerswald
Even a small Auerswald PBX can call the Tibinet AI phone agent. The connection uses a SIP account with registration, so you do not need a fixed IP address. When a person is needed, the agent transfers the call to your own handsets.

Auerswald at a glance
Auerswald makes phone systems for small and medium-sized businesses, such as the COMpact and COMmander series. They support SIP accounts with external providers. For how the connection works in general, see connecting an AI phone agent to your phone system.
How the connection works
- A SIP account or SIP trunk to Tibinet, using registration. This also works behind NAT.
- A route for the agent numbers sends calls to that account.
- The agent transfers back only to numbers on your PBX that you agree with us in advance.
What your installer does
Add a SIP provider
Add Tibinet as a SIP provider, using the details we send you.
Codec and DTMF
Enable G.711 A-law and set DTMF to RFC 4733.
Create the routes
A route for 85XX and 88XXXXX, and an inbound rule for the transfer numbers.
Auerswald publishes little technical documentation on this kind of connection. Check the SIP settings in the manual for your model. All ports, codecs and settings on our side are listed on the technical details page.
Transferring calls
- Cold transfer: by default through a second call to your PBX. This always works.
- Warm transfer: your colleague first hears a short summary and presses 1 to take the call or 2 to decline. If nobody answers, the caller stays with the agent.
- REFER: only if the PBX accepts it from this trunk. If it fails, the platform falls back to the second call.
- The summary is also sent as a SIP header. Whether a handset displays it depends on your PBX and handsets; we do not promise it.
